Windows 98 Dial-Up Setup
Open "My Computer", then "Dial-Up Networking", then "Make New Connection".
Give the connection any name you wish, and select your modem. Click "Next".
Type in the phone number (804) 458-4283 and click "Next", then click "Finish".
Right-click the new connection your just created and select "Properties".
Make sure the "Use country code and area code" box in NOT checked.
Select the "Server Types" tab and make sure it looks like this.
Click the "TCP/IP Settings" button and make sure the settings look like this. Click OK until you are back to the desktop.
Double-click on the icon for your new connection and the dialup window will appear. Make sure the correct username, password and phone number are displayed and click "Connect".
